Where's the Clarinet? This is a Miller Band Tune.
Love it!!!
I love this version. The orchestra sounds perfect. Who is the vocalist? He sounds excellent. Ignore those hater comments on here. I really like this recording a lot.
Softer than a Summerland is incorrect. It doesn’t even make sense, so it’s obviously a mistake. So, before posting, record the song again and do it right. You obviously respect Sinatra, so honor him. You really have to study up on this. Yes, Sinatra took liberties, but never like this. He only altered one minor word of “Summer wind” during his live versions Not sure if you know this, but he recorded it in one session, one tale. Looking forward to your revised version. You have the potential!
With all due respect, after listening to your unique version of my favorite song, which I have sung more than of 1,000 times, you need to entice the totality of the lyrics. Let the words of loss sink into your words. And, get the lyrics right. Sinatra really improvise on the song. Ever. I can guarantee you that. You have to be spot on.. Sinatra took minor liberties. I heard him in concert singing this song with wanderlust. It’s my favorite. The band needs more engagement. The. horns and the energy are lacking . This version literally put me to sleep. Wishing you all the best. Yes, ole’ blue eyes said, “ the best is yet to come!”
Glenn Miller would be proud!
Wonderful John, so interesting to watch this interview. I remember they did Craig's HR, back in the late 80's. I'm not surprised by the amount of work the Hughes Brothers had on their plates, but being so close to the edge in a financial capacity and not having corporate companies willing to offer assistance is something of a surprise. Thank you for uploading this video.
The clarinettist isn't that great, tbh., the other soloists are much better, certainly the tenorist. Why does the drummer have to be so busy atthr start? Just lay down a solid beat without all those disruptive accents. And oh my, how the tempo picks up towards the end... Louder doesn't mean faster...
バンドもカップルも素敵ですね。 何回も見てしまいます💃💓
すばらしい!
wow you guys are fantastic greetings from Oklahoma
Ain't the 1st time you Aussies set my foot to tappin. Excellent.
Fine
Tempo could be just a bit brighter in fact i could tell the clarinet soloist wants to pick up the beat after he plays his solo in the opening
Beautiful

Thank you for this video. What a beautiful stylized foxtrot.
Beautiful! :)

Thank You and I love This Song
The seniors showed up the young'ans!!! Well done everyone!!
THAT'S THE RIGHT DAM TEMPO! THANKS!
A Very well done performance by an astounding group of instrumentalists. the late Artie Shaw would be proud as well as Cole Porter would be for such a commanding rendition performance as what they have done for us all in this video. I am so glad to have come across it.
Sencillamente precioso,
That clarinet solo was wild. Great job.
This tune was one of my faves as a little kid, along with stuff by the Glenn Miller orchestra.
The music was nice but you killed the outfit. I think most fashion designers would be hard-pressed to find someone for whom a black leather jacket with a mustard shirt and red tie would pair as nicely as done here. Just promise me you were wearing gray trousers.
still here
Yes, turning time around, as Chuck Cicel used to say. Sit back relax and enjoy. Really good music, enjoyed it much!
The dancers are distracting, but the old couple is awesome.
Another crap replay, starting with the drummer.
Amo esa intro.
Underbar musik låter likadant idag som på 50-talet.
Glen Miller a hero & a true American legend! Taken from us too soon! Love his arrangements!
Perfection!
The older lady is a great dancer
Some MAMA!
Ive seen high school bands play better than this
I think this piece of music is close to many peoples hearts - mine included. So when I say this is an exceptional rendition - fun, bouncy, jazzy and so superbly executed in that particularly Glenn Miller-esque way - then you should definitely take it as a big compliment! Here’s to all the decent people left on Earth.
Whose the female tenor saxophonist?
Terry is so sweet and baby-faced in this ha ha. As I recall, during the filming of the car chase, the car at the back rear-ended the one in the middle? Absolutely rivveting... and hilarious.
How embarrassing, I don't fit the look of a detective, nor do I act like one. The collision caused JW great distress, poor chap.

That is one solid band Great job
this is about 50% as good as BG's version ( it's still pretty good though)
